Founder

Cards for Good was a marketplace where customers can purchase gift cards and contribute to charities at the same time, at no extra cost.

Non-profits could create campaign pages on the platform. Supporters could purchase gift cards directly from that campaign page. The cards are delivered electronically via email, Apple Passbook or Android Wallet.

How did non-profits make money?

Retailers could sell the gift cards to non-profits at a discount. This discount is a tax-deduction for the retailer. The non-profits then sell the gift cards through the platform to their supporters at the full price and keep the discount as a donation. This all happens in realtime once the payment is processed on the Cards for Good platform.

Non-profits no longer had to worry about managing physical inventory of cards. The platform handles payment and delivery.

Non-profits were able to leverage existing networks and communication channels to share their campaign. Cards for Good supports email, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ to distribute campaign pages.
